My brain struggles for a moment to piece together where I am and why Iâm staring at a room that isnât our own.
Thatâs when the faint sound of the incoming video call jolts me again. It must have been what woke me in the first place.
I groan and have to untangle myself from Ven, who is lying face first into his pillow like he always does, with dark hair going in a thousand directions, except his heavy arm is slung across my chest, making it impossible to move.
âWhat fucking time is it?â His voice is thick with sleep and muffled against the pillow.
âToo early,â I say. Hitting the green button as I do so. Which brings up the sight that makes my heart feel like itâs going to burst, the two other most important people in the world to me fill the screen. âWay too fucking early, is what time it is,â I growl at them.
Theyâre both grinning like idiots.
âSooooâ¦â Foxglove is tucked in the crook of Kyâs arm and looks blissed out of her mind. Theyâre in bed. Of course, those two are. âHow was your night?â She says in a sing-song voice that leaves me under no illusion that the people Iâm staring at on screen have got beans theyâd better start spilling straight away.
âYou look like youâve made a miraculous recovery, Harris.â Rubbing my eye with the heel of my palm, Iâm greeted with his usual mischievous grin.
âOh, yeah. Itâs amazing what an entire night getting to feast on our girl can do.â He hums. âHer pussy has magical healing properties, I swear to god.â
âOh, my god.â She pushes on the side of his bearded jaw. âAt least try to pretend you were actually sick for five minutes.â
âLooks cozy over there.â Kyâs grin widens by a mile when the man beside me rolls over and blinks, before making a gruff noise.
âLet me guess, Ven was big spoon?â He keeps pressing for details while Foxgloveâs blue eyes glimmer at me in the video image. I see the way her teeth dig into her bottom lip as she devours the details she can see on screen at her end.
âGot something you want to share, Foxglove?â I ignore Kyâs mirth, and hone in on my girl, who is definitely squirming.
âNo.â She shakes her head, trying to hide a smile.
âYou know what I think?â I sink back in the pillows, and Ven instinctively readjusts so that he pulls me against his side. âI think youâre a dirty little liar.â
From the brilliant, beaming look of happiness on her face as she watches the two of us lying together, bare-chested and more or less cuddlingâor whatever it is that weâre doingâIâd say our girl got exactly what she wanted.
âOther than Ky eating your cunt all night, whatâs got you grinning like that, little fox?â The man beside me scrubs a hand through his hair.
âYou guys look so good together⦠do you have any idea how happy we are right now?â She breathes, and the words rush out in a tumble of excitement.
